Cumulus Support

My hosting provider recently had to reset my hosting.
One letter change in username thats all
However ftp simply doesnt work
I get 500 messages in the log and see password rejects but the same credentials work in winscp and oher ftp programs
Even via android with the same credentials it works fine
Just not with cumulus
The user does look like an email address and the password did contain an @ symbol but i changed those.
Tried active and passive modes.
The most common start error is ftp component already connected......
Then a timeout.
Logs show connect but fail pass.
Anyone got any ideas? Im fresh out of them.
Is there something in the cumulus used ftp?

Have you tried restarting Cumulus after changing the user and password? If that doesn't help, try stopping Cumulus and editing Cumulus.ini manually. Are you sure nothing else has changed - the name of the server or its IP address? Is your account still configured to accept plain ftp?

Had done all of te above but it magically started working again and php processing stoped just after the hosting provider said they cant find anything wrong.... usual story.
