Steve,

This strange because that file is present on the website and is being updated - as are all the other json files.
They are all in the CumulusMX folder with everything else. Should they be in a sub folder perhaps?

You need to talk to your hosting provider and ask them to enable the JSON MIME type on the web server.

Scripting has been enabled on the site.
Still no charts.

Gauges are working fine. Graphs are not.
Here is what is in CumulusMX folder on the website:

Have you done this?

Yes, did that. They did not seem to understand what I wanted. I enabled pnp(?) on the site although the significance of that escapes me.
All I want is the thing to work and they keep telling me to write "scripts" and offer examples but all they did was stop the whole site with an error 500.
My last post is what is in the CumulusMX folder in the hope that someone can tell me what is missing.

Update:

All is working perfectly now. A great guy called will at fast hosts put it right.
It was all due to something called ASP which I don't understand.

Mark I have a similar issue, though website is running on NAS.

PHP 5.6.23 / Apache 2.4.20

Any thoughts as to what I need to do? Gauges are fine, but charts on popups are broken.

Are you suing the SQL or JSON version of the graphs?
Where are the graph scripts, jpgraph, json files etc.?
Do you have any idea where it is failing?
What settings are you using?
Have you checked your servers Apache error log - that should give you some clues.

Since my NAS is locked down apache logs are hard to get (if they log at all)

I do have Virtual Hosts enabled on my webserver since I have multiple domains. I wonder if that is screwing up the paths.

Include graph data files is enabled, and JSON files are in my root web folder.

I'm not that fussed to fix it tbh, is there anyway I can remove just the broken graphs from the popup window totally?

In the config section near the start of gauges.js, set showPopupGraphs to false.

It would be very helpfull to state that the local path to realtimegaugesT.txt should be defined with the relative path from CumulusMX.exe --> "web\realtimegaugesT.txt"

restart the Cumulus application after changes have been done to the stettings

Active Mode (FTP) did prohibit upload to the FTP server

It doesn't have to be a relative path, the full path can be specified. I've updated the instructions to give the two forms of relative path that can be used, depending on the OS. At some point I will get MX to handle it in the same way as realtime.txt, so this additional config will not be be necessary.

You shouldn't need to restart Cumulus to pick up changes to the extra files config, but it's a good idea in general to restart MX after changing settings, as the MX FAQ points out, until I get around to adding all the code to apply the changes dynamically.

For you, quite possibly, but not for everyone. Some people need to use active FTP mode.
