Automatic cumulusMX updates
Is there any chance i can automatic update cumulusMX by typing ./cumulusmx.sh -u command rather then doing it manually downloading it and saving your settings and not overriding them.

Re: Automatic cumulusMX updates
I haven't upgraded since I installed CumulusMX 3038 on a Raspberry Pi 3. I think I am going to upgrade from 3038 to 3041. Is the easiest way to do this is just unzip and copy in the changed files that are listed in the announcements topic? Namely...
CumulusMX.exe
CumulusMX.pdb
interface/json/InternetOptions.json
interface/json/InternetSchema.json
interface/js/charts.js
webfiles/js/cumuluscharts.js (to be uploaded manually to your web site)

Re: Automatic cumulusMX updates
The easiest way is to copy all of the files from the zip. You can if you wish just copy the changed files, as mentioned in the MX FAQ.

Re: Automatic cumulusMX updates
OK, so if I copy the zip file to the /home/pi directory and do an unzip -o "filename" it should copy the files to the correct folders and overwrite the existing ones? I will make a backup of my data directory and Cumulus.ini just in case. I also have daily backups of the entire CumulusMX directory.steve wrote:The easiest way is to copy all of the files from the zip.
