From WD to Cumulus

Post by wxgeek99 »

Have run WD for a while now and decided to try Cumulus. So I stopped WD and downloaded Cumulus.
Install seemed to go fine. I started Cumulus and the main displpay came up with a small window on top that said "downloading data". It eventually finished and the display showed live data from my Davis VP2 station.
However the rainfall data was grossly in error.(13.38 inches of rain TODAY!...nope) Where did it download
data from? Thanks for your help!

I suspect that this wasn't the first run, and perhaps you had some kind of issue that caused it to set the rain counter to zero. Hence a subsequent run took the entire annual rainfall as today's rain. It normally starts counting from the point where you first run it.

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it to a reply in this thread, I'll take a look.

You can edit today's total from the edit menu, but it may have affected other records. It's probably simpler to stop Cumulus and delete all of the files in the data folder, then start it again.
