I have received the following from the Royal Meteorological Society. It looks like it will be very interesting.
Every two years the Royal Meteorological Society holds a meeting specifically aimed at amateur meteorologists, which includes sessions on observations and instruments. The meeting is usually a lively one, with social activities and poster sessions. This year's meeting will be on the weekend of 10/11 September at the University of Reading and the Society would welcome participation from Cumulus users; you do not have to be a member of the Society to participate.
