Another Pi on the menu.

CumulusMX (3038) works on the Pi Zero unit. These are the latest and cheapest member of the Pi family.
There is only one drawback - you need a USB Hub to get it to work as there is no on-board network. A simple un-powered hub
works along with the ubiquitous Edimax nano wifi adapter. So whilst it works - it's not a straightforward or particularly elegant solution - but it is inexpensive. You can get the development kit (Pi Zero, power supply, microHDMI-HDMI adapter, MicroUSB to USB adapter plus header pins and 8Gb microSD with Debian Jessie) for about £25. The basic Pi Zero on its own is a whopping £4
My config has this unit connected to a FO Clone (WH3083) writing to a MySQL database on the main BananaPi / Davis VantageVue system.
Interesting - but I have other plans for this system - so I will revert to the usualt Pi 2 later today.
FWIW I have included a picture of the PiZero. It is mounted in a PIBOW case which is part of the kit The LH microUSB is Power, the next is Ethernet and on the RHS is the micro-HDMI (with adapter inserted). The unit is running headless
The whole system was bought from https://shop.pimoroni.com - I have no connection with them in any way except as a customer.
