Problem with data rain
Hello,
I would like to know why Cumulus MX 3038 marks me a rain disproportionate compared to the real one. today there was even a power failure, and so my raspberry and Cumulus were not working, and this evening the rain marks I:
19043.1 mm
Rate 0.0 mm / hr
High 136.8
16:10
This month: 36873.9 mm
This year: 36,885.6 mm
Cumulus is a problem?
Also I would like an explanation, I put on my router a virtual port for Cumulus to open it remotely, the page opens but then stops and I can not see the weather data, in practice I only see the graphics on the page. Does anyone know how to correct the mistake?

Re: Problem with data rain
Fine Offset stations are well known for generating bad data; the power failure probably caused a corruption in the station's data. If you want to zip up the MX diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look when I have time.
Have you opened up the correct ports? You need port 8002 for the web sockets data. Note that opening up the MX UI to the internet, if that's what you are doing, means that anyone who finds it can change your configuration and access your passwords.

Re: Problem with data rain
You've selected the wrong station type. Your station has solar sensors, but you have selected a station type which does not. Cumulus can't decode logger data correctly if the station type is wrong (the memory layout is different).
This is actually mentioned in the Cumulus FAQ as a cause of high rainfall recordings.

Re: Problem with data rain
I have a Froggit WH3080 with solar panel for recharging the battery and light sensor and UV sensor, then that station type should I select?

Re: Problem with data rain
I checked the station console and actually gives me a total month of 30mm...
I think the weather station console for the time is correct

You have a Fine Offset station with solar sensors, so I suggest you choose a station type of "Fine Offset with Solar Sensors".icnmfabro wrote:I have a Froggit WH3080 with solar panel for recharging the battery and light sensor and UV sensor, then that station type should I select?

Re: Problem with data rain
Steve, since the station is still in testing, you can delete the data so far stored in cumulus MX?

Re: Problem with data rain
You are likely to have other incorrect data, so deleting the data you have now would be a good idea. Just delete the contents of the data directory while MX is stopped.
