Re: cumulus 188 graph color
Right, I've figured out what I was doing wrong, although I don't really understand it. Just a weird quirk of the chart component. I can now set the colour at start up. I still can't set the average direction colour at all, so I'm giving up on that one.

Re: cumulus 188 graph color
I understand. I know nothing when it comes to chart components so you may be on to something there.
If not, is it possible the chart declaration happens AFTER the configured value in the .ini file is read thereby overriding the newly-configured color with the default, declared value?
Just grasping at straws here.
I also wonder, tho, whether or not the correct color is properly initialized but switches to the default, declared value so quickly you don't see the change happening.
Quite a puzzle...and usually the result of the most simple of errors but finding them is the trick. Give me boolean logic instead, any day!

steve wrote:Yes, that's pretty much it. The chart is declared with a default value for the colour, in this case red. Cumulus reads the configured value from the cumulus.ini file at start up (this bit is clearly working, as evidenced by the dialogue defaulting to the configured colour) , and then when the graphs window is opened, it changes the colour to the configured value. Except for some reason it doesn't work.
When you use the right-click menu to change the colour, it changes the chart colour using exactly the same code as the "when the window is opened" code, but this time it does work. Could be a bug in the chart component.

Well done Steve !
I've just tested, it works perfectly. (The colors are stored and effective when restarting cumulus)
Thanks a lot

Re: cumulus 188 graph color-WOOPS!
The correct colors show on the local console, but when I log into the weather station, all colors are in RED and NOT the colors I specified in the local console. As such its hard to discern the difference between the wind direction and the average wind direction.
So I guess the good news is that the local console color control works...but its not reflected in the website.

Re: cumulus 188 graph color
Begging your pardon...now it IS working as predicted. Can't account for the glitch....but disregard my previous post.
Re: cumulus 188 graph color
Well, I have too a strange behaviour:
- red and blue on the console graph
- red and red on the web site (see my signature for the url) even if sometimes it appears to be blue and red on the web page too...
I cannot figure when it is correct and when it is not on the web graph .

Alain,
Couldn't see your URL so can't check from here.
After changing the colors on the console, I performed a web-update and it corrected it self. Probably would have done so in 5 minutes anyway (that's how often I update here). Could also be a matter of shutting down C1 and restarting it....or not?

Yes I see....red and red.
Have you tried closing down C1 and resetting?

If you look at the 'native' image (without the overlay), the legend does show both the wind directions in red

Re: cumulus 188 graph color
So does my 'native' image but on the console, the colors were changed to yellow and gray.
I was right the first time, what you plug into the console isn't what you'll see on the website...at least not always. In other words the overlay isn't always working.
