ComPort IP Address InvoluntaryChanges?

I run Cumulus (Build 1099/V 1.9.4) using Davis Vantage Pro2 data via an Ethernet cable to a wireless router/modem.
I also have WeatherLink software. But I prefer to run Cumulus for its better display and ease of connection to NOAA, etc.
The problem is...the Com Port IP address changes at least once weekly... so Cumulus stops sending data. It is almost impossible to directly determine the new IP address. However, Weatherlink finds the new IP address instantly. So when Cumulus' IP address crashes, I go over to Weatherlink, hit two buttons, determine the new IP address...enter the address into Cumulus and reboot Cumulus.

I checked with my ISP provider about purchasing a static IP address, but the monthly charge is nearly the same cost as the Fiberoptic feed.

Is there any way for Cumulus to automatically determine the correct ComPort IP address as does Weatherlink? (In a new update, etc.)?

I'm confused about what the problem actually is. You've posted in the web site section, so is this a problem with uploading to your web site?

Or do you mean that you have a Weatherlink IP, and its IP address changes? But if so, I don't understand what a static IP address from your ISP has got to do with that.

You also mention Com Ports, so do you actually have a USB logger, and the virtual serial port is changing?

I'm totally confused, can you please explain exactly what the problem is, and then we can look into a solution for you.

I looked at your posting history to try to get a clue about your setup. Is this not exactly the same problem that you posted about in this thread - https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14118

I offered you two possible solutions there, but you didn't come back with a response.
