Barometer Issues

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Barometer Issues

Post by wxstormer »

I'm posting this here because this problem first started when I started to use Cumulus MX on the PI. I'm failing MADIS checks on my barometer and I have definite lows (not to zero, but up to 30 mb off from where it should be) on my Vantage Vue ISS / Vantage Pro2 Console that I never seemed to have before. Is this a MX issue or is my barometer chip failing?

I'm not aware of any issues in MX that would cause that, and it's hard to imagine what kind of bug could cause readings to vary in that way. It's almost certainly a problem with your console. Presumably Cumulus is showing the same thing that the CWOP graph shows? And does your console also show the same daily low for yesterday?

Looking at your current CWOP graph, it sees to be doing the same thing this evening at about the same time. Does the current console reading reflect that?

Here is the trends page:
http://cumulus.nbtx-wx.com/trends.htm

So it reflects it there..

Is there a way to disable barometer output for now?

In Cumulus? No. In the console? No idea.
