Gauges not run

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

My guess is you are not uploading the realtimegauges.txt file as I cannot find it, nor can your server.

You need to read the instructions in the MX announcement post about the realtimegauges.txt file. The local file has to be the supplied template file in the web folder.

When you unzip the Cumulus MX download, a 'web' folder gets created. The realtimegaugesT.txt template is in there, along with all of the other templates.

Now with the search function of the forum i found the instruction.

It's best to do it that way, but web/realtimegaugesT.txt might also work.

On Debian (jessie) i had to put the full path details on for some of my templates to work correctly.

I can't seem to get the realtimegaugesT.txt file to upload. I've tried about everything for paths on my Raspberry 3 installation. The full path should be /home/pi/CumulusMX/web/realtimegaugesT.txt. I have tried that and various versions including /web/realtimegaugesT.txt. I am trying to upload to realtimegauges.txt on the server. Everything else works.

And are you spelling it correctly, i.e. not as in three of the four instances you've just typed?

Yes, I typed it correctly in CumulusMX: "realtimegaugesT.txt" in the extra files entry and "realtimegauges.txt" for the web file. My path on the RP3 is "/home/pi/CumulusMX/". On the server it is root since I set up the root directory for the FTP account to be where I need the web files to go. In the Internet/Web FTP Site settings section I left the directory blank since it goes to root and the standard web files upload correctly.
