Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Android push notifications

Post by liddelljs »

Hi all,
Apologies if this isn't the correct forum for posting future MX enhancements. One of my weather stations is a couple of hundred kilometers from my house so I don't know when something goes awry apart from when I check the web page and realise it hasn't been uploading data. It would be great if MX could be configured to send android push notifications through something like IFTTT (https://ifttt.com). I would use it to warn me if the remote sensor contact is lost but could also be configured to notify of significant weather events (high rainfall rate, high wind gust etc).

Cheers
Steve

There are links to the enhancement requests section near the top of the forum page. Be warned that there are already a lot of requests, and it is likely to be a long time before I could even consider adding something like this. I believe IFTTT has been mentioned before, I haven't had time to look at it to see how it works from a developer's point of view.

Thanks Steve. Understand the list for enhancements is a long one for one person to get through. Just thought I would log it for possible future consideration.

Cheers
