Moving to Windows from Linux

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Moving to Windows from Linux

Post by ConligWX »

If i were to move my setup from Linux Debian to Windows 10, would there be much in the way of change to the configuration or would it be a matter of dropping the CumuluxMX folder onto a folder in windows and running CumulusMX from there?

just thinking out loud...

If you don't have an IP logger, you'll have to change the serial port name, and you'll need to change any local file paths that you may have configured. I think that's all.

..and do the netsh command if you don't want to 'run as administrator' all the time.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll think i'll stick with Debian for now. must less hassle once it is up and running and less cpu intensive then Windows 10 :)
