MX on Linux Mint 64 bit

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

MX on Linux Mint 64 bit

Post by tenochtitlanuk »

I've been using the 'old' Cumulus on a PC for 6 years. Thanks Steve!

Just tried the new MX on my 64 bit Mint installation. Interface web access looks great BUT it can't see my station and get data.
Is this the problem you allude to
On Linux you will need library libudev.so.0 which may not be installed by default. Installing package libudev0 may resolve this. There may be issues if you are using a 64-bit version of Linux. I'm not sure what the resolution is at the moment, if this is the case.
My installation shows only a 'libudev1'.
Has anyone got a WX1081 working on latest Mint? Perhaps I'll try one of my pi's instead...

Yes, that's quite likely the problem. I believe that some people have got around the lack of libudev0 by creating a symbolic link to the libudev1 library.
