Recreate All Time Records and Historic Data

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Recreate All Time Records and Historic Data

Post by SJG1976 »

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help.

I've re-built my weather station and have installed CumulusMX on a Raspberry Pi.

I've manged to get the first Raspberry Pi working with the WRM200 Station Data, and all the old Data from the PC.

However my Davis Station, I've also got working.
I've copied all the MMMYYYlog.txt files into the /CumulusMX/data directory,

Is there a way to re-read all the old data so my Records can be restored, and also re-build the NOAA reports.
I seem to have missed a step, and on the Davis Station all the records now start from yesterday.

I've had a look at the forums, but can't see anything for doing this. There used to be an Edit Option on Cumulus1. But I think it's only rain data that can be done like this now?

Any clues would be helpful.

Steve.

I'm guessing it's because I only have 1 line of data in the dayfile.txt.

But is there a way to process all the old logs now?

I haven't written the editors yet (apart from "today's rain"). There's a long list of features still to be added to MX from Cumulus 1.

Thanks Steve,

Thought I was missing something.
In theory. Could i then use an Old Cumulus, re-build that way, and then re-import into CumulusMX?

Or is there an offline version I sure there used to be a Toolbox, but not sure if this will do what I'm after?

Yes, that's what others have done.
