Rapsberry lost USB connection yesterday

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Rapsberry lost USB connection yesterday

Post by perl »

I know it's a wish
So now a request for a future update to MX:
When MX cannot get the data from the console, MySQL not be updated.
This would be covered by the existing request(s) to stop updating things in general if there is no new data, if/when I ever get around to doing it.[/quote]

But can I manual change time and date somewhere in one or more ini files to get CumlusMX to reread data from the console from the time I set up? Later I could then manuel delete the faulty records in the xxxxxlog.txt file.

Don't know if CumulusMX would make a new dayfile.txt, but if I could get the missing data from the console I would be able to correct the dayfile.txt.

Or can I stop the CumulusMX and restore the daily backup form the day before the crash and get all missing data from the console ?

Yes, the way to do it most easily is to use one of the backups created by Cumulus when it starts, and at midnight. There's information about this in the FAQ and/or wiki - but basically you just copy all of the files from the chosen backup folder into the data folder, with Cumulus stopped.

Doing it this way means you don't have to manually edit any files.
