Cumulus Support

I am trying to figure out what I have incorrectly "set" either in the ASUS router or on the win 7/64 pc.
The message to check my internet connections appears a few times in a day then maybe 3 or 4 days later. No pattern.

However, there is no indication on the PC. That is, the web is still available to surf. The WiFi is still functioning to my iPhone. And so on.

Are there any PC-related "logs" I can check to see if there is a problem causing this?

The 32701 error appears for me only when I try to have a second program access the station/USB logger - i.e. starting Cumulus when Weatherlink is still running.

I see I have Disconnect set for 10 seconds in Cumulus.
I just changed that to 15 ... but golly-gee ... makes me wonder if the Davis weatherlink_ip is acting up or getting trashed by the router.

The error just happened about five mins ago. definitely not at the top of the hour.

I also have Weatherlink-ip set to "archive" every one minute. But its been that way for years now.

would there then be any chance that Cumulus might be made to auto-restart
the program after N seconds delay then repeat N number of retries?

I think that retrying connections to IP loggers is one of things likely to be added to Cumulus MX at some point.

pardon my lack of knowledge but what's MX version do?
