Custom realtime.txt file

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Custom realtime.txt file

I'd like to create a custom realtime text file with some weather data in it but all attenpts on doing this so far show now text file is being created.

as a test I created a testdata.txt with some webtags inside the text file. i then created a new entry in the "Extra web files" section of CumulusMX setup.

So far nothing has been processed. am I doing something wrong?

Your realtime.txt and realtimegauges.txt show on your site so the path seems ok, so I wonder if it is the testdata.txtT.txt that is failing. You could try the file name to be processed to be testdataT.txt

You say you have called your input file "testdata.txt" but you have told Cumulus it is called "testdata.txtT.txt".

I've changed it to your suggested filename (testdataT.txt) and i have also played with different filenames in the past. so far no go...

do i need to restart CumulusMX for this change to take place?

is there any logfile i can via in verbose/debug to find what CumulusMX is doing or not doing?

Apologies for the questions, just trying to figure out what is wrong.

I found the issue was I have to include the full path for the Local filename

Local = /CumulusMX/web/testdataT.txt

Remote= Web/weather/testdata.txt

seems to be working now.
