Cumulus not downloading from instromet datalogger

Hi

Hope anyone can help with this. I have just set up my instromet station with datalogger and installed cumulus. I can receive live data, but an error comes up saying unable to read log count.

Cumulus records temperatures etc when cumulus and pc are on, but when turned off overnight or at work and then turned on, stored data on the datalogger is not downloaded so i get the highest and lowest temperature displayed only when the pc and cumulus were running at that time and not stored on the datalogger. No data files received.

On start up of cumulus it does say downloading data please wait, but no data received.

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

I have not done a zip folder before but ive given it a go and i attach the Diags folder. I think this is how you do it.

The logger isn't behaving correctly.

There's a later build of Cumulus that you can try; it has some changes I did requested by Instromet to work around some problems with the logger:

You can also increase the time that Cumulus allows for a response from the logger. Stop Cumulus and edit Cumulus.ini. In the [Station] section, add a line:

ImetWaitTime=1500

Many thanks for the information. I have downloaded and installed the later version of Cumulus that you recommended and added the extra line in the station section and still nothing, no data received from the logger. Would this mean the logger is at fault.

Yes, it would appear so, if exactly the same thing is still happening - the logger is not responding to commands.

Just to confirm, Instromet have sent you some hardware to test with Cumulus again as having ongoing problems with the datalogger not downloading data to Cumulus.
