Re: rain davis
If you zip up the MXdiags folder and attach it (include all the files this time rather than just one) I'll take a look. Please indicate what the console is showing for today's rain and what Cumulus is showing.

Re: rain davis
Your rainfall counter at midnight was 68.2 (this is the annual rainfall total on Davis stations)
2016-04-15 00:00:00.448 Midnight rain reset, count = 68.2 time = 00:00
At 18:37 (the end of the latest file) the counter was 78.6
2016-04-15 18:37:00.653 Writing today.ini, LastUpdateTime = 15/04/2016 18:37:00 raindaystart = 68.2 rain counter = 78.6
You've therefore had 10.4 mm of rain today. Those figures come from the console. I don't know why your console apparently gives today's total as 13.2. Do you perhaps have an 'inches' rain gauge, even though you are using millimetres in Cumulus? Do you have a VP2 or a Vue (your forum profile has a Fine Offset)?

Re: rain davis
Sorry, I don't know what that means. And you didn't answer my question about what type of rain gauge you have.

Re: rain davis
I am asking whether your Vue has a metric or an imperial rain gauge, i.e. does it measure 0.2 mm per tip or 0.01 inches per tip.

Re: rain davis
Sorry, I know very little about the Vue. I would assume that a Vue bought in the UK from a Davis dealer would have a metric gauge, and the Vue would be configured appropriately at the factory. Cumulus is assuming you have a metric gauge.

Re: rain davis
Then you have your console configured incorrectly.
Cumulus thinks you have a metric gauge (which you confirm) and says 10.4 mm of rain has fallen, which is 10.4/0.2 = 52 tips.
The console thinks you have a 0.01 inch rain gauge, so it thinks incorrectly that those 52 tips are 0.52 inches, which is 13.2 mm.
