Cumulus Support

hey all ive just set up my raspberry pi and ive got the davis vantage vue (usb/serial/ip data logger) and im runing Latest Cumulus MX v3.0.0 build 3038 and ervery think it all runing fine but the rain on my weather st saying 1.8mm but the Cumulus MX is saying 1.6mm i check the log file but i cant see any think rong in there so can u guys help to sort this plz

Haven't followed all the rain determination from the attachment but it says:

but you mention:
ive got the davis vantage vue

Do you have the correct station ticked in setting?

all it say in the drop doen menu it davis dvantage pro2/vue or davis dvantage pro

Ah, OK... I wasn't at my computer to check what setting options there are, and I couldn't remember either.

what does it say on the last menu dropdown on the right when you click on "Todays Rain"

Sorry I am unable to understand all the rain amounts in that log. I did notice entries of "rainday start" = 50.2 and "raincounter" = 51.8 along with some other "startup" rain amounts. Again sorry I can't help with this.

However I did notice an entry:

2016-04-07 18:43:56.032 Error at line 42802 of data/Mar16log.txt : startIndex + length cannot exceed length of string.
Parameter name: length

2016-04-07 18:43:56.033 Please edit the file to correct the error

You may want to look in your Mar16log.txt file at line 42802 and see if you can detect an error there.

Looking at the error message in the previous post, I reckon there is either an extra comma on that line, or two lines have been joined together by deletion of a line ending. If you upload your data file to here then somebody could take a look - more than one pair of eyes often leads to quicker solutions

Ok so I will send the mar2016 log and the main log file

I replied in your other thread. Why start a second one?
