WMR88 Rain

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Post by wbargent »

Hi, I have set up Cumulus MX with my WMR88 however it doesn't seem to transfer the rain data or uv data.
Could you help?
Thanks.

It may be a bug. I can't look at it now as I am on my travels, but I will look at it when I return at the end of next week. It would be useful if you could turn on debug and data logging using the settings in Cumulus.ini, and zip up the MXdiags folder and attach it. If I forget to look at it, please do remind me in say two weeks time.

I am running Cumulus MX with my WMR88 and I do get rain transferred, do you see rain on the console?
I do not have any UV sensor connected.

I found the problem, cumulus was just repeating the same log over and over again. Must have lost connection. This keeps happening is there a way to stop it?
I have found that running the Weather OS at the same time works however it is using 50% of my CPU which isn't ideal.

This only worked for 4 hours until the OS software gave up trying to connect. I had to write a batch script which runs every hour to restart cumulus and OS weather to keep them linked.
