Hi
My display is currently showing yesterdays extremes in todays extremes with zero reading in yesterday. I have shutdown and restart but this does not seem to fix the problem. Any ideas?
Thanks
Andrew

Re: Extremes Display data
The usual cause is allowing your PC to go into standby while Cumulus is running.
If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Re: Extremes Display data
You're allowing your PC to go into standby while Cumulus is running - as mentioned in large text at the top of the forum, and elsewhere, you cannot do this if you expect Cumulus to work properly. You must close Cumulus down before allowing your PC to go into standby, or turn standby off.

Ok thanks, I wasn't aware my PC went into standby - will look at the settings. Is there anything I can do to resolve the problem or will it resolve itself?

Re: Extremes Display data
You may be able to 'rewind', using the files from one of the backups Cumulus takes each day and when it starts up. Copy all the files from an appropriate folder (you've restarted Cumulus a lot today, so you'll probably be looking at one of the daily backups) into the data folder (while Cumulus isn't running).
How well this will work will depend on how often and for how long your PC has been suspending while Cumulus has been running.

No that didn't work. Maybe I'll need to re-install it.

Re: Extremes Display data
Reinstalling won't make any difference, it's your data that's the problem. Which set of daily backup files did you use - the one from the rollover of the 19th to the 20th, presumably? Assuming that one exists, of course - if your PC was suspended, it won't.

Re: Extremes Display data
I copied over the backup data from the 19th to the data file. Re started Cumulus - no luck. I think I will just remove the program and install and start again.

Which as you've just been told will not make any difference. If you want to start fresh, just delete the contents of the data folder.Aledger1 wrote:I copied over the backup data from the 19th to the data file. Re started Cumulus - no luck. Thank you that's all I wanted to do. I wasn't worried about trying to recover the data. That has worked.
