re-name from index.htm to index.html

My internet provider supplies a web site free. It requires an "index.html" file to start, not an "index.htm". Cumulus 1.9.4:1099 configuration-internet settings-files allowed me to change upload from index.htm to index.html. CumulusMX has "settings-extra web files" that appears one can do the same thing using it. So far I have not had any luck using this in CumulusMX. So what can this newbie do to get an "index.html" upload so the site will be satisfied? Point me in the right direction! Thanks

The 'extra files' in MX work in exactly the same way as in 1.9.4, and the settings in Cumulus.ini are exactly the same if you are using Windows (local paths are different on Linux/Mac). If the same settings aren't working, then if you could show your Internet settings (the web/ftp site and web/ftp settings sections) and your extra files settings, someone should be able to help.
The easiest way to do this is just to have a redirect from index.html to index.htm, either via a .htaccess file, or if your provider does not allow that, via a redirect in an index.html page. Put
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=
http://example.com/index.htm" />
in the <head> section of the index.html file (obviously replacing the URL).
