Upload (include) graph data files.

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Upload (include) graph data files.

Post by UncleBuck »

Let me see if I can explain this properly......

If I select the option "Include graph data files" in the Settings > Internet Settings menu, then the .json files get updated and sent to the root directory of the FTP server.

If I don't select the option, then the .json files are NOT updated at all and not sent to the server.

What I am trying to do is use the Settings > Extra Web Files to upload the .json files to a specific directory on the server, but the problem is that the files are not updated unless you have the "Include....." option ticked.

The way I have around it at the moment is to tick the "Include" option and still use the "Extra Web Files" settings to upload the changed files to the specific directory.
This is a double up of sending them to the server but it is the only way I can see to get around it (unless I am missing something).

Could someone please confirm that this is the only way around the problem?

Yes, at the moment you have to select IncludeGraphData files to get it to generate the files, and if you have an FTP server configured, this means it will also automatically FTP them. I think I've mentioned this in another thread. I need to add a separate option to just generate the files.
