I am trying to setup my webserver to update the cumulus weather data. I have done the preliminary setup, but I cant seem to work out how to cumulus mx to update the htm files to show actual data.
My cumulus site can be viewed at:
http://www.erskinetechnology.com/weather/indext.htm
I would prefer not to use ftp at all..... The cumulus server is physically next to my webserver, so I wish to use my own batch file to update the files. Is this possible to just have cumulus update the local htm files that I can then copy? How do I get the files to show real data?

Re: Webserver not updating values
If you set 'auto update', MX will process the standard files at the configured interval. Note that the indexT.htm template file is processed to produce index.htm with actual data in it.
You can then either use your own batch file to copy the files, or get Cumulus to do it by listing them all on the 'extra files' screen.
There is information in the wiki about how the processing of web files works, most of it also applies to MX.

Re: Webserver not updating values
Thanks Steve. I have checked that I had auto update ticked and also restarted cumulus. The only index.html is located in the interface folder. The web and webfiles folder are still in their original state. Is there anything else I can check?

Re: Webserver not updating values
If you zip up the MX diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Re: Webserver not updating values
Problem solved. I created a desktop shortcut to the first install of cumulus mx. When I installed cumulus mx again in a new folder, I changed the shortcut link and thought I had also changed the "start in" directory, but obviously didn't. So I was launching the new exe but saving to the old folder.... So the diags above are irrelevant. It is working perfectly.... operator error
