CumulusMX reports an error

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

CumulusMX reports an error

Post by Flyingwellie »

Hi Steve have been running cumulus on a windows platform for 2 or 3 years. Am fedup with windows10, changing to Linux Mint so new to non gui interfaces.

After completeing station setup and restarting am getting error reports as per MXdiags in both windows and Linux

All the best

You've selected a station type of 'Easyweather', i.e. getting Cumulus to read from an easyweather.dat file, but you have left the reading interval at zero, which obviously doesn't make sense (I should change the default). Did you really mean to select that station type - how are you generating the file on Linux?

I see also that you have renamed the CumulusMX.exe file for some reason. That's going to cause problems.

Thanks Steve, used easy weather because Linux reported could not find station when set to Fine Offset, which is what I used with Cumulus, have changed this back to Fine Offset on windows.
Now all seems to be working fine.
Will struggle with Linux later.
Changed name because I'm lazy will revert to CumulusMX.
Small donation on it's way
Thanks again
All the best,
Bernie

You'll be needing that (see the instructions).

Your mono version is fine.
