Problems FTPing to website
I was using the standard version of Cumulus on windows 7 with no problems, but since moving to MX im having trouble uploading to my website. To upgrade I copied the MX directory over the top of the Cumulus directory and overwrote the files (to keep data).
I have the files from the webfiles folder copied to a folder in public_html/weather on the website. The password has been checked and double checked. I can get access to the website using a FTP client (FileZilla).
No matter what I try, nothing gets uploaded (even the realtime.txt which the ftplog says is being uploaded).
The rest of the system works ok, just the uploading isn't.
Any ideas please. I have included ftplog.txt and cumulus.ini
Many thanks
Alan

It could be a firewall issue, particularly as your ftp is using a non-standard port. Have you made sure MX has been given permissions for the required ports?

It wasn't, but I could access through port 2121 with a FTP program, but I allowed 2121 through the windows firewall and it still didn't work. Bummer!!

You could try turning off the Windows firewall completely for a short test - presumably your router acts as a firewall anyway, so you shouldn't be at risk?

Re: Problems FTPing to website
I don't know what else to suggest, I'm afraid, other than the usual switching from active to passive or vice versa. But if the same setting works in Cumulus 1, it seems unlikely that will help. The ftp log is very odd, it's as if there is no communication going on at all - no responses, nothing at all from the server, which is why I thought it was probably being blocked by a firewall.

Re: Problems FTPing to website
I changed to a free webspace site and all seems to be working now - weird! I definitely had it working on standard Cumulus.
I have another problem ( sorry to keep bothering). The uploaded site now works great, except for the gauges not showing any data, and in the bar just above the gauges it says error and a minus number counting up in seconds. Am I right in thinking this is to do with the realtime.txt? This is being uploaded to the site, and I've checked, and it is there.

Re: Problems FTPing to website
No this is because realtimegaugesT.txt is not being uploaded and renamed as realtimesgauges.txt.
