Almost a clean starting point, but not quite
My Cumulus with Davis VP2 is working well. As it is new, it starts on January 1, 2016. Records etc. are all fine except for one thing. If I select monthly records, I can go to August, November etc. 2015 and will just get blanks as it should be, but not December. It shows some spurious numbers for December that seem to be from early days of setting up. I looked through all the files and could see these number are in monthlyalltime.ini in the last sections like [Pressure12]. The number in each [****] header must be the month? So I edited the [****12] sections by copying the [***11] starting value lines there. Cumulus was too clever and just replaced them with the old numbers again. So it is rebuilding from somewhere else. I looked in the alltimelog.txt and found some lines there with December records. I deleted them, but still the problem. I have not been able to find where they are coming from. I know it is picky, but just to understand how the data is rebuilt may help.

Re: Almost a clean starting point, but not quite
It sounds like you are editing the file with Cumulus running, so it is simply writing the in-memory values back to the file after you've edited it. It doesn't rebuild the file unless you use the built-in editor to fetch the values from the logs. If you want to amend the values with Cumulus running, you should use the editor.

Re: Almost a clean starting point, but not quite
Thanks Steve! Of course that was the way I did it. I changed monthlyalltime.ini, then restarted Cumulus and it just updated over my changes, which is logical. Now it is fixed.
