Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024

(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)

Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024

Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Traducción español corregida. Spanish trans corrected

Post by parruso »

Hola.

http://meteogandiaparruso.fortunecity.com/

Hello.
I downloaded the files to translate the Cumulus website in Spanish. There was a big job ahead but they had some bugs.
Between two partners have translated and adapted as best we can to Spanish, that I may not sound judgments and not a few expressions to translations online (as this) :mrgreen:
Are available for those who want.
In any case will need to adapt some words such as "minute / minutes", but little and is easy.
Just have to copy the files to the folder Cumulus/web, and your page is already translated. ;)
I want to thank Daj, because it is the one who did the real work.
;)
I hope to help you.

My web, for example.

It's really an honor. Thank you very much, Daj. I hope all are all right. If you see any bug tell me and I'll correct.
Indeed, my friend and I, jokingly put to the bottom of the page indexT, translation: parruso. I do not want the merit is mine, so you can change it if you want. The translation would be for our personal use, but I've decided to share the work so that it serves more people.
Thanks again.
Areco, tienes una web muy trabajada, y completa!!! Lo de la Iss me ha gustado mucho, y lo de las nubes, genial!!!

Easy. Daj did a great job, but I have Spanish blood, then I have adapted just some words that sounded very good to make them perfectly. Like would you do with this bad translation .... :mrgreen:
The one in the wiki is yours but with my adaptation. It is the same, there is only one.
Just update it and have the latest version. ;)

Can also be used for the Beaufort scale and the pressure (soft landing for example).

Can someone help me, where is the error?

The latest version of Cumulus version 1 allows you to customise the Forecast, moonphase and Beaufort tags much easier now

La nueva versión de una versión de Cumulus le permite traducir las previsiones, la fase de la luna y las etiquetas de Beaufort mucho más fácil ahora

What is the error, what does it display?

It looks like it would just display "Occasional precipitation, worsening"

The code is fine, I have just tested it. It is not clear where you have taken this code from. In order for it to work you must use the Forecast webtag for the Javascript variable.

If I assume you are using the standard Cumulus template file (indexT.htm)..........

Code: Select all

var fore = "<#forecast>";

There is an error in the above HTML that does not allow me to translate my Spanish on my site. I pass you a site where I saw it and they use the version 1.8.7 (819) translate forecast, Beaufort and pressure to Spanish. http://www.gesell.com.ar/vgol/tiempo/index.htm

<script type="text/javascript">
var beau = "Gentle breeze";
if (beau=="Calm"){document.write("Calma");} else
if (beau=="Light Air"){document.write("Ventolina");} else
if (beau=="Light breeze"){document.write("Brisa Débil");} else
if (beau=="Gentle breeze"){document.write("Brisa Suave");} else
if (beau=="Fresh breeze"){document.write("Brisa Fresca");} else
if (beau=="Moderate breeze"){document.write("Brisa Moderada");} else
if (beau=="Strong breeze"){document.write("Brisa Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Near gale"){document.write("Ventoso");} else
if (beau=="Gale"){document.write("Viento Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Strong Gale"){document.write("Viento Muy Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Storm"){document.write("Temporal");} else
if (beau=="Violent Storm"){document.write("Temporal Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Hurricane"){document.write("Temporal Huracanado");} else
{document.write("Gentle breeze");}
</script>

Ok, see my post above this one (https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... 804#p13804)

You can not just copy the Javascript -- you need to change it slightly to include the webtag so that Cumulus will put in the correct forecast as it creates the web pages

So it should be

<script type="text/javascript">
var beau = "<#beaufort>";
if (beau=="Calm"){document.write("Calma");} else
if (beau=="Light Air"){document.write("Ventolina");} else
if (beau=="Light breeze"){document.write("Brisa Débil");} else
if (beau=="Gentle breeze"){document.write("Brisa Suave");} else
if (beau=="Fresh breeze"){document.write("Brisa Fresca");} else
if (beau=="Moderate breeze"){document.write("Brisa Moderada");} else
if (beau=="Strong breeze"){document.write("Brisa Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Near gale"){document.write("Ventoso");} else
if (beau=="Gale"){document.write("Viento Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Strong Gale"){document.write("Viento Muy Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Storm"){document.write("Temporal");} else
if (beau=="Violent Storm"){document.write("Temporal Fuerte");} else
if (beau=="Hurricane"){document.write("Temporal Huracanado");} else
{document.write("Gentle breeze");}
</script>

I think the confusion here arises because that's the processed page, and the original presumably uses the web tag (so the tag has already been replaced by the current value).

But what do I know? If it were me I'd just use the latest build and strings.ini...

(Edit: posted in reponse to the message before last)

I think this line

Code: Select all

{document.write("Gentle breeze");}
should also use the web tag.
