Can't get Twitter working....

Hi

Tried to setup Twitter for the first time and no luck... cant get any tweets up there.

I have setup the account etc in config/internet - which populated the cumulus.ini file as expected. (ebaled, 30min interval, send location checked (and enabled at Twitter)).

Interestingly, the settings below do not change:

OauthToken=unknown
OauthTokenSecret=unknown

If I enable debug, I *never* get any twitter references in the log - which I am surprised - as even a wrong password or similar error would have been visible... I would think! I can obviously see other site updates and ftp all reporting correctly.

I have tried with and without a twitter.txt - same - as I expected really.

Cumulus version is 1.9.4 (1099) which I am sure should be ok (I know earlier versions did have a problem with Twitter).

Any help is most appreciated.

That's very odd - with debug logging enabled, the diags file should log each attempted update, not just error messages. If other updates are working OK, I can't think why no Twitter updates are even being attempted. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look - I may be able to spot something.

Well I now have updates!

Weird that debug is still not showing twitter elements, that I can see... the other ftp, wu,wow etc are all there.

I changed the login name from penicuikweather to PenicuikWeather and that seemed to fix it.... I did not expect the login name to be case sensitive.

Thanks - I've deleted the attachment; I'd forgotten that the password gets logged the first time, when it's authenticating. But the Twitter updates are definitely being logged in there, I'm not sure how you could miss them. But anyway, you've solved the problem now.

I am sorry for being thick - I "assumed" it was debug.log that I was checking, not inside the various (009) "cumulus" files...... hence I did not see entries for twitter but did Wu etc etc.
