Why are you obsessed with 7 or 8 meters???
If this was a VP2 anemometer I could understand but this is a VUE 'all in one' that needs maintenance.

Essentially, there is not 'a perfect spot' for a VUE. In an ideal world, the anemometer needs to be mounted high, clear of obstructions, the rain gauge should be at ground level and again clear of obstructions. This is obviously not possible. You should find a compromise for both of these and also factor in the accessibility for ease of maintenance.
