Possibility to read datafile HP1000 weather station?

Hello Steve,

I have now a Fine Offset weather station, but it isn't working fine any more so I'm considering to buy a new station:
http://www.foshk.com/Weather_Professional/HP1000.htm

But it has no PC-connection.. It reports directly to Weather Underground. I would rather use Cumulus than wunderground.com. With the new HP1000 you can back-up your data to a SD-card. So I was wondering if you see a possibility for Cumulus to read the data out of the SD-card when I put them into my laptop (instead of reading data by USB-cable)?

I thought it's maybe quite the same as reading the easyweather.dat file?

Or maybe Cumulus can read data from Weather Underground?

I hope you understand what I mean and there's a possibility. The weather station looks great (UV-sensor, color screen, wireless) but I don't wanna miss Cumulus :(.

Regards,

Vincent

There's a XML from WU:

http://api.wunderground.com/weatherstat ... format=XML

Maybe it's readable for Cumulus?

It's a possibility for a future version of Cumulus MX. It's not something I have time to do any time soon.

Nice to hear it is an option in future! Do you want to have a copy of the data file from this weather station? The new one will be delivered tomorrow or Friday :).

Yes, you could attach a copy in this thread, for future reference.

Okay, it's a great weather station and it runs on Windows Mobile with a mobile version of Easyweather on it. You can connect it with PC by USB, but Cumulus or Easyweather don't read the data. I hoped the data format of the export file is the same as by Easyweather PC software, so Cumulus must be able to read it. Unfortunately it's not :(.

I attached a copy of the file. Steve, do you think Cumulus can read this or Cumulus MX?

No, because it's not the same format as an easyweather.dat file. Maybe in the future.

OK, I would appreciate it. I also asked the manufacturer if it's possible to update Easyweather PC software so it can read data of this weather station and than Cumulus should read it too. Thanks for fast reply!
