graphs missing data

Post by bruce45 »

Hi Steve

not sure if this should be happening but after running c2 and the going to c1 the graphs are missing large chunks of dat and straight lining.

is this a bug or just because of running c1 and then c2?

dose not seem to affect the totals

It looks like it's not downloading the data from the logger from the times when it wasn't running. If you look in Sep09log.txt, you should be able to comfirm that the data is missing for those times when the graph is a straight line. Do the straight lines correspond to the periods when you were running C2 and not C1? If you zip up and attach the contents of the Diags folder, I may be able to see why it's not downloading the logger data. It shouldn't be anything to do with running C2, as long as you're not running both at the same time.

It should be possible to recover the missing data by using the latest backup from before the problem occurred. But if it's not downloading the logger data, it may not be as simple as that.

From the diags logs, the only conclusion I can come to is that the 'Use data logger' option is unset, so when it starts up, it doesn't attempt to catch up. This seems to be true for at least as far back as the earliest Diags file, from a week ago. Could you have a look at the setting, please?

Hi Steve

the use data logger was unset so fingers crossed that will sort things out.

Will later builds of c2 still need c1 installed or will we be able to remove c1 and still have c2 working?

They're completely independent, so once C2 is stable and has all the basic facilities, if you want to switch over you can remove C1.
