Problems with com port

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Post by ea1htb »

Hi, I just installed the latest version of cumulus mx in a raspberry pi, I can not configure the station via the Web interface , I 'm editing the " cumulus.ini " file , but I get to put the port for a season "fine offset "
Can anyone tell me what port should I put ?
Weewx is that using this in the next usb / dev port / bus / usb / 001/ 004 , but not equivalent to com port

Fine Offset stations don't use a serial port, they are USB.

Why can't you use the user interface - what happens? What version of Mono are you using, and what locale?

You won't be able to use that version of Mono with a Spanish locale, which is why the user interface isn't working. You will need to install 4.0 - make sure you don't install 4.2, because that won't work with your station.

I installed 4.0 on my Pi by adding the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://plugwash.raspbian.org/mono4 jessie-mono4 main

and then doing an apt-get update and installing mono-complete. That assumes you're using Jessie and not Wheezy. I'm not sure what you do if you're using Wheezy.
