Twitter not reporting

Have for over 1 year+ noticed that my Twitter set up is not reporting. It worked fine initially, and I have not updated or reinstalled the software since day 1. There was 1 reset of the data-logger some time ago, but I think it was defunct before that in any case. Data interval to Twitter is set at 720 minutes. Obviously p/word and username are correct. Using version 1.9.3.
Any ideas how to restart the Twitter feed?
Thanks
Brian

If you turn on debug logging, then Twitter updates will be logged to the diags file (rather than debug.log), and there may be error messages logged. But you are using an out of date version of Cumulus, so that may not be the case in that version. The first thing to try would be to install 1.9.4, it's possible there was a bug fix or an improvement to the Twitter code. Twitter change things in a way that breaks existing code from time to time, I may have had to do an update as a result.
With such a long update interval, presumably you keep Cumulus running all the time?
You could try forcing Cumulus to re-authenticate, as described in the FAQ -
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#I.27ve ... te_Twitter - Note that it can take a couple of attempted updates after that before Twitter starts accepting updates.

Thank you Steve - will try all those various fixes! Yes, Cumulus works 24/7 (thanks for great software by the way), as I feed into weatherunderground.
One query, obviously I will back up the precious data files, but does a new installation of cimulus keep the old data files?
Thanks
Brian

Yes. But as always, keep a backup - just in case!
