error in dayfile log

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Please zip up the MXdiags folder and attach it, together with your dayfile.txt. Please describe exactly what you did just before seeing this message.

I went onto the web interface, then Data Logs, Dayfile and it displayed that error message.

The error message appears because you are using a dayfile.txt from Cumulus 1 which doesn't have the solar data on the end. When I use your file, I can dismiss the error and then the data is displayed - does that not happen for you?

I'll see if there's something I can do to stop the error message appearing.

Yes if i press ok the error goes away, but the error shouldnt be there though. If i used cumulusmx dayfile.txt would my data from 2012 get deleted?

No, it shouldn't, but it is helpful to give all relevant information when reporting a problem. As I said, I'll see if I can do something to stop it appearing.

Cumulus never deletes data from log files.

I have given as much information as posible. Do you want me to delete dayfile file and let cumulusmx regenerate it? Would that sort the error message out?

Just an idea.

Your original post was just a screen shot of an error message! I had to ask you for information!

MX won't regenerate dayfile.txt.

I'll stop the error message in the next build. Enough said.
