I have been running Cumulus MX for about 4 months, under Windows 8 on a "PC on a Stick" that is used only to collect the data from my WMR200 into Cumulus, and upload to the web. In the past week or so I noticed that the PC clock was wrong. I reset the clock, but after a while it would be wrong again. The time jumps back one hour when this happens.
My timezone is set correctly and we are now on daylight saving time. This problem does not occur on any of my other PCs.
The time on the WMR200 station is roughly the same as the PC.
Thinking that Windows may be corrupt, and also wanting to move to Windows 10, yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 10 Home (32 bit).
I did not get Cumulus installed yesterday but still left the PC running overnight. This morning the clock was still on the correct time.
Today I installed Cumulus MX and have it all running nicely. Two hours ago I went out for a while to the beach. Prior to leaving home the PC time was correct. When I returned 2 hours later the PC clock was 3 hours slow.
Can anyone tell me if and how Cumulus is resetting the PC time?

There is no way that Cumulus can be blamed for resetting the PC time.
I can only suggest that the PC backup BIOS battery has failed or is about to fail, and when the PC is under load (i.e. running programs and the Operating System) it doesn't have enough power to maintain the system clock, so it gradually drifts out of sync. If you give us more details about what it is running on other than PC on a stick i.e. Processor, RAM, storage etc. we may be able to help.

The CPU is an Atom Z3735F 1.33Ghz with 2GB RAM, 32GB storage. It came with Windows 8 installed. It is called a "PC On A Stick"" by Intel.
The problem didn't occur until Cumulus was installed, hence my suspicion that Cumulus was causing it.

I had a quick look at some reviews such as this one http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/rev ... ick-review and they all slate it for poor performance and it's inability to run simple tasks such as web browsing. It has stuttery Wi-Fi connection and an underpowered Atom processor for Windows.
All this would suggest it is probably not a good platform to run Cumulus on if you want reliable results.

OK, I concede now that this is not a Cumulus issue. MOD - please feel free to delete this thread if you wish.
It could be the CMOS battery, but the PC Stick is only 4 months old. Flashing BIOS may also fix it.
