Hi guys

If I want to "transfer" a CumulusMX installation from one machine to a new one, do I simply copy the CumulusMX directory to the new machine? Will this also transfer all the settings and historical data?

When a new release of MX is available, how do I update it? If I copy the new files over the old files in the CumulusMX directory, will that erase settings and history? Are there files I need to backup before copying the new files into the installation directory?

Yes.

Just copy the files (you can optionally just copy the ones that I say have changed). No settings or data are included in the MX distribution files, so they are not affected. It's always a good idea to have backups, though.
