Odd CPU anomaly with Cumulus

I'm posting this just in case it helps the application developer.

I've been using Cumulus (1.8.7) for the past couple of weeks. It's a nice app - thanks - and has been working reliably during that period.

However, I just caught Cumulus using 80% (!) of the processing capacity of my Intel Quadcore 2.6Ghz.

Now, I am certain it was Cumulus using so many resources. It showed up as the offending process in the Task Manager. And the moment I closed Cumulus, the CPU Usage meter went back to normal (ie system resources mostly idle again).

I can't for the life of me think why Cumulus would need to use 80% of the CPU of a high spec Quadcore machine...?

I can't explain it, I'm afraid. It uses between 0 and 5% on my machines, depending on what it's doing. But of course I don't monitor it all the time, so it may do it without me noticing! I assume that when you say 80%, you mean 80% of one core, as Cumulus can only use one core? If you spot it happening regularly, maybe you could see some pattern to what it's doing at the time.
