Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
I am using an Aercus WS3083 station. I have downloaded CumulusMX and connected to my station choosing Fine Offset with Solar Sensors as my station.
The Charts seem to be displaying all the relevant information, but the Gauges and Curent Data screens show no data at all.
Has anyone else had a similar problem, and is there a fix?
OR, am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
The Dashboard, Now, and Gauges pages all get their data using web sockets (on port 8002), so you have some issue somewhere on your system preventing that from working - a firewall issue, or perhaps a browser issue. If you can't get web sockets working on your system, you could switch to using Ajax for the data. See the announcement for build 3032 for instructions.

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
I am having the same problem as dogmeat.
I have a Davis Vantage Vue. I am seeing guages etc. on the web page but no data.
I turned off my Kaspersky firewall with no effect.
I use Firefox but using IE10 made no difference.
I have also edited the files as suggested to use Ajax, whatever that is
I am using the URL http://localhost:8998/
KISS - Keep It Simple Steve.
Thanks
John

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
But the Dashboard, Now, and Gauges pages still show no data? Have you forced a refresh in your browser to replace cached versions of the javascript files that you've modified (CTRL+F5 will normally do this)? Are there any errors in the F12 console of your browser (Hit F12 and select 'console')?JohnF wrote:I have also edited the files as suggested to use Ajax, whatever that is

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
Thanks Steve
A forced refresh made no difference.
This is what the console shows.
Using //@ to indicate sourceMappingURL pragmas is deprecated. Use //# instead jquery-latest.min.js:1:0
Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery-latest.min.js:3:31294

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
OK, to keep things simpler, let's do this on the Now page. Open that page in FF, force a refresh, and then hit F12, and select the 'Console' tab. Select the 'All' button, and tell me what you see - a screenshot may be helpful.

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
Perhaps that's the view that you get when you don't have Firebug installed.
However, I can see that the page is working, as it has the version and build number on it, so the problem is nothing to do with the user interface, it's just that your data is zero. If you zip up the MXdiags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
It can't connect to the station:
2015-12-21 11:47:27.498 IP address = 192.168.1.71 Port = 22222
2015-12-21 11:47:28.501 Not Connected
Are those details correct for your Weatherlink IP logger? Is anything else connected to the station?

Steve
I use a serial port connection to Weatherlink. But I rarely use Weatherlink.
Nothing connected to my Davis console apart from a USB connection and to Cumulus.

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
It sounds like you have told MX that you have an IP logger when in fact you have a USB logger (which as is normal, appears as a serial logger to Cumulus).
You will need to tell MX that you want to use a serial connection, and put the correct COM port name in there, e.g. COM1, COM2, or whatever the com port is that the serial/USB drivers have created. You must also make sure that you do not have any other software attempting to connect to the logger at the same time as MX.

Re: Current Data and Gauges not registering anything
I have two com ports I can use, 3 and 4 and have tried both with no success.
I have selected Serial instead of TCP/IP. No success.
ipconfig tells me that the IPv4 address is 192.168.1.71 which is what I am using.
I have tried the default gateway address of 192.168.1.254 -no success.
Thank you for your time.
