Can anyone tell me how I can download the beta for iOS x in a manner that someone who isn't a computer programmer will understand?
I am a registered user, I am using a Macbook Air and have iOS x. I have downloaded MX as the forum states I should do but what do I do next?!!!
Sorry I'm not a programmer so would really appreciate a simple step by step guide to install it and get it running if anyone can help me!
I'm using a Smart Weather WH2080.
Kind regards.
Richard.

Do you really mean "download"? It sounds like you have already downloaded it ("Download" means getting the file from the forum onto your Mac)? If not, the download is in this post -
https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908
If you
have already downloaded it, the "step by step" instructions that you seek are also in that post. No programming ability is required at all, so don't worry about that. Most people using Cumulus are not programmers.
Installing Cumulus MX:
There is no automatic installer (this may change). If you want to start a completely new installation, create a directory and unzip the contents into it.
Running Cumulus MX:
Linux and OS X:
Open a terminal window, change to the Cumulus MX directory, and then type:
sudo mono CumulusMX.exe
When Cumulus starts, it will display the URL of the user interface. It runs on port 8998 by default; if this is not suitable for some reason you can over-ride it using the '-port' parameter on the command line, e.g. to use port 9999 instead:
sudo mono CumulusMX.exe -port 9999
Type the URL which is displayed (when MX starts running) into your browser (replace the * with the IP address, or use localhost) and the interface should appear. If this is a 'clean' installation, the first thing you will need to do is to go to the settings and set the station type and units, and any other configuration settings you want to make. Having set the station type, you will need stop Cumulus MX and start it again. Note that this also applies to some other settings - you will need to restart Cumulus MX to get the new setting picked up.
Note that you may need to supply your administrator password after typing the 'sudo ...' command line. The system will prompt you for this.
If you say which step you are stuck at, and why, someone will be able to help. The more information you give, the better.

Many thanks for your reply.
I have downloaded it as suggested.
I have clicked on 'terminal' and opened a terminal window.
The instructions say 'Open a terminal window, change to the Cumulus MX directory, and then type:" .....
How do I 'change to the Cumulus MX Directory'? Can you explain exactly what I need to do please.
Thanks.
Richard.

Ah, I understand now, it's actually help with using your Mac that you need, rather than Cumulus. This forum probably isn't the best place for that, but I can at least try to help you with this one.
You type 'cd' and a space and then the full path to the directory where you have unzipped Cumulus. You don't have to go there in one step, you can cd to one directory and then cd to the next one until you get to Cumulus. I have to express complete surprise at coming across someone who has never used a command line before! This is really basic stuff, and I'm struggling to explain it any more clearly without giving examples, which I don't have the time to do right now, sorry.
Here are some useful links about the OS X command line:

Cumulus MX is not a 'native' OS X application, and it's not like most of the other programs on your Mac. (It's not even like most current Windows programs, for that matter). I fully realise that some people won't like the way it works, but that's their choice and of course alternatives are always available.
