Fine Offset Station not found

Hi

First of all, love the software, thank you to everyone who has contributed and Steve for doing this. The latest development has allowed me to join two interests the station and my Pi, brilliant!

I move my WS-1080 station over to MX and a RPi2 B v1.1 after running since 2013 on a Vista PC. All was well for the last 2 months then this weekend I moved to release 3032 and now this morning 3033. I can not get either to "find" the station on starting MX. My original copy of 3031 does not find the station either so don't think its the software.

I have followed all the advice I can find in the forum:

1. Using the RPi2 version of complete-mono
2. Ensured libudev0 is current
3. Added 99-hid.rules to /etc/udev/rules.d
4. I can see the station on the lsusb -t
5. Tried running with root sudo su
6. Tried removing all data
7. Station panel batteries ok
8. Added MXDiags file for anyone to help please

There seems to be a few people having 'Fine Offset station not found' recently. I wonder if there has been an update to something on the Pi which is causing a problem. I'll try mine when I get a minute. What version of mono are you using?

What version does mono -V show? There is apparently a problem with Mono 4.2, see https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14508

I knew you were going to ask that ;) I'm not exactly sure - we need Jan to tell us!

OK, try this:

First, remove mono-complete:

sudo apt-get remove mono-complete

Then delete the repository that supplied it:

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mono-xamarin.list

Then reinstall:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install mono-complete

Then see what mono -V tells you. 3.2.8 will be fine if that's what you end up with and you don't use commas for decimals.

Station back on line many thanks. mono 3.2.8 loaded will wait for a compatable version.
Kindest regards
