Migrating data from Weather-Display to Cumulus

Hi there

I've been using Weather-Display for about 9 years and after some testing I've made a decision to change to Cumulus. Given that I've been operating for a long time, I have some historical data that I want to preserve. Being realistic, the key things that I'm most interested in preserving is the records from that period e.g. Hottest day on record and annual rainfall totals over the 9 years. The rest of the data I'm less worried about. If anyone has any tips on migrating this data from Weather-Display to Cumulus it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Richard

The first thread in this section of the forum is a 'sticky' thread which mentions the WD to Cumulus data converter that I wrote. I can't guarantee it will do a perfect job, as the spec I had to work from was limited, but some people have used it successfully. It creates the monthly log files, then you can use the editors in Cumulus to generate the other files from those. The accuracy of the high/low data generated will depend on whether the highs and lows are actually present in the data files which Cumulus uses as input. If not, you can edit the high/low data manually in Cumulus using the built-in editors.
