Abigail is coming

The first of the UK Met Office's named storms - Abigail - is on her way, with the possibility of gusts of up to 90 mph for parts of Scotland on Thursday evening into Friday.

We just narrowly missed one along the east coast. There was one after it that the weather reporters gleefully said was going north east, so it won't bother anyone. Don't remember the names, but the names would be much later than 'A...' Hope they didn't contribute to what's threatening you guys now. Good luck with the storm conditions.

Hi Steve,
I see you had a gust of 58mph in the early hours. Is it as bad as forecast? I've seen far higher gusts for your location.

That's good to hear Steve. More red faces at the Met Office perhaps?
