Dashboard and Now don't display datas

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Dashboard and Now don't display datas

Post by Gigabyte2 »

Hi, I've installed CumulusMX 2.3.0.1 in a Raspberry Pi B and it is working linked to a La Crosse Ws2357
Datas are correctly uploaded to Weather Underground and I can see the correct stats in "Today/Yeasterday" and "Records".
In the "Charts" there is a problem with the time:
Schermata 2015-11-05 alle 16.32.13.png
I can't see nothing from the "Dashboard" and the "Now" pages. How I can fix it?

There is a way to get the realtime.txt file?

Thank you

The most likely explanation is that the clock in your station is wrong (assuming that the clock on your Pi is correct). I haven't implemented the option to ignore the WS2300 clock in MX yet (I'll do it in the next build), so your only option currently is to correct the clock, if you can.

You have a problem with the websockets connection on port 8002 - possibly a firewall issue. If you can't resolve the problem, you could try switching to Ajax instead of websockets, see the announcement for build 3032. I'm not sure what version you are using, as 2.3.0.1 does not exist.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean. If you set the 'realtime' options in MX, it should generate (and optionally ftp) the realtime.txt file, just as in Cumulus 1.

Oh thanks man! I fix it :)
The only thing I don't understand is how I can generate realtime.txt

Select 'enable realtime' in the internet settings (Web/ftp settings section). If you want it to be uploaded to your web site, select 'enable realtime ftp' and 'realtime.txt ftp' also (this assumes you have configured Cumulus with your ftp details etc).

Oh, perfect!
Last question: in the spikes removal setting how the default "999" value represent? It is the hight limit of the datas accepted in recording?
I want to prevent wind spikes of my LaCrosse WS2357

The value of 999 just means that nothing happens. You need to specify a smaller number. This is from the 'help' in Cumulus 1:

"The "Spike removal" section allows you to specify the maximum differences between successive readings that you wish to allow, mainly for Fine Offset and La Crosse stations. If a reading differs from the previous reading by the value you specify, or more, then it will be ignored."

So if you specify 5, for example, and the wind speed changes by 5 m/s or more, that reading will be ignored.

Very good, I set values to prevent spikes!
I can't watch the web interface now: the system is working and it is uploading files on ftp and on Wunderground but the 8998 port doesn't show the interface.
The problem still after reboot

But what does happen in your browser when you try to display the interface?

What browser are you using?

Have you tried a different browser?

Is the browser on the same machine as Cumulus or a different machine?

Are there any errors in the F12 developer console in the browser?

Have you checked your firewall/router?
