TNET/JPgraph problems

Post by g_e »

I see lots of people talking about using the TNET graphs using JPgraph but I'm having problems making it work (I downloaded the package (v3.1) from TNET web site).

I've installed JPgraph and the TNET package, but some of the graphs just don't work. Looking at the PHP code shows that in temp.php (amongst instance), $chrs is undefined - easily worked around by adding $chrs=''

But winddir.php has no definition of the $z array, which is used to create the scatterplot.

Would appreciate any thoughts, particularly on what's missing with the $z array.

Thanks

Disappointed not to have had a response - surely everyone downloading the code is having the same problem?

From a quick look at the code, it looks to me like that $z should be $x, but I am no PHP expert. It's quite possible that no-one here has tried installing these recently, and that there is actually a problem with the distribution. Kevin has not been on the forum for several months, have you tried emailing him?

This is the original thread for the package - https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=127 - it's possible that he has a 'watch' on that thread and a post in there might have raised him.

Many thanks, Steve - and apologies for slow response!

I thought that $z might be $x, but changing it just brings up a whole lot more errors.

It looks as though there were some blind changes made to the code at some point. In theory this has been around for 7 years, so I'm very surprised that these issues haven't been reported.

I did drop an email, but got no response.

I wonder if there's an earlier/working version around somewhere.
