Hi there, my 1081 has been good as gold since Maplin replaced it 3 yrs ago for the latest model which resolved the problem of temperature spikes occurring when the anemometer transmitted. Yesterday morning I discovered that the time and date had reset back to 12 noon and 01.01.10. The time was not counting and there was no data in the memory and no data being recorded live. I reset time & date and all began working normally and did so all day.
This morning the same thing has occurred with the time and date and the same symptoms, now with 48 hrs missing data. Its looking as if its running OK right now and the graphs are trotting along where they should be on Cumulus, although I suspect no data is being recorded based upon the fact that yesterdays has not.
I have to admit I have not updated Cumulus to the very latest version yet and am running on Windows 10.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks,
Skyline

Hi,
Have you checked the batteries in the Console? That's exactly what would happen if the batteries are flat and you switch off the PC overnight (i.e. no power via the USB connection). What does the screen on the Console show when it's (not) logging?
Cheers, Alan.

Re: 1081 Odd Behaviour
I change the batteries once a year in both units but never seen that before. These batteries are just a few months old but could be defective I guess. The rest of the console looks completely normal aside from the date and time. I will change them again as a precautionary measure.
The memory in the unit is currently empty (I delete it before it gets full and did so a few days ago).
