Inadvertantly left pc running overnight together with Cumulus running. Computer went into "sleep mode" and I now find that whilst current days data is shown on main display, "yesterdays data" is absent. Also NOA report data not recorded. It is possible to view data on "This month's high & lows menu. Cumulus version is 1.9.4 and PC is running on Windows 10. The weather station is a Davis Vantage Pro2 Have tried restarting Cumulus and PC but without result Grateful for any advice how to return Cumulus to record data as normal

See the FAQ - http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Why_ar ... _Screen.3F. You can 'rewind' by using one of the backups which Cumulus creates when it starts up (in the backup folder) and at midnight (in the backup\daily folder). Copy the files from the chosen backup folder to the data folder, with Cumulus stopped.

Thanks Steve for your prompt response. Tried copying the relevant files from the Back-Up folder to the Data folder but unfortunately it did not make any difference. Fortunately I have another copy of Cumulus on an Asus net book as back-up in case there are problems with my desk top so monthly data won't be lost. ( I do a monthly weather report for a local paper) I will now just start Cumulus once a day to gather data then close the programme. ( I had been leaving it running in the background)

Then you probably didn't copy the files from a backup taken before the problem occurred. But as you have an alternative solution, it doesn't really matter now.

Most people leave it running all the time and don't have any problems, as long as they don't allow the PC to go to sleep while it's running, which is guaranteed to cause problems.
