Data loss
Hi, I would ask a question: I have a weather station Davis VP2 and after a week I downloaded the data. I set a 5 minute log interval and I noticed that the first 4 days I lost all the data. What does it depend ? Thank you!

Re: Data loss
The length of time that you can run without downloading data depends on the logging interval in the station. Perhaps you have that set to one minute? If you zip up the diags folder and attach it to a reply in this thread, I'll take a look.

Re: Data loss
Yes, you have the station logger set to one minute, so you will start to lose data after less than 48 hours unless you run Cumulus to download the data. If you intend to leave it for longer than that in future, you need to increase the interval - using Weatherlink, for example.

Re: Data loss
I ask for information on how to insert data in the historical Cumulus: 1) which file should I edit? 2) which editor do you recommend? Thank you!

Re: Data loss
If you have detailed data, put it in the monthly log file - http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Monthly_log_files
The wiki describes all of the files and what type of data they hold.
I recommend notepad++
